Dang, I love this chocolate nice cream and it's so easy to make, too. Sure, the store bought vegan ice cream made with coconut milk, soy milk, and almond milk is delicious, but let's face it, it can be expensive. Plus, it's not always on hand when we want it most. Just three ingredients, then you're in business! Here's how to make this bowl of soft, creamy, and cold deliciousness! Gotta satisfy that chocolate hankering.
2 frozen bananas
1/2 cup nut milk
2 tbsp raw cacao powder
1/4 cup raw hemp seeds (optional)
toppings of choice
In a high speed blender, add in ingredients and slowly add in the nutmilk a little at a time. Blend. Add in more nutmilk if needed.
Nice cream will be a thick, creamy consitency. Too much nutmilk will make it more smoothie like and too thin.
Use a silicone spatula to scrape out of the blender and into a bowl.
Frozen bananas play a key role in making these delicious. Be sure that they are solid all the way thru as they will make the nice cream thick and creamy. Best enjoyed on the spot while cold.
Wow, I am totally in love with this simple recipe. It really couldn't be easier and is so versatile. You can eat it plain or top it with crushed almonds, vegan mini chips, fruit, or your very own home made granola. Omit the raw cacao and make it vanilla, mint, or lemon with extracts or use different fruits, like berries. You choose. Even more delicious when served on a waffle! A super easy, delicious, and healthier way to satisfy a hankering on the spot.
