oven baked fries

One of the many benefits to following a vegan whole food plant-based diet is enjoying all of wonderful diverse amounts of food. Potatoes are no exception, whether baked, sweet, topped, or not topped - I love potatoes. Especially oven baked fries! Many people tend to shy away from potatoes for fear that they are going to gain weight or that they are just too many carbs. But in reality, it's what you put on your potatoes that you should be wary of. Potatoes are naturally gluten-free, are rich in potassium, vitamin C, fiber, B6, and iron. Leave those skins on, too, to get the benefits of the vitamins and minerals. Serve as a side dish to your favorite sandwich or eat as a snack, which is what I often do! These are exceptionally excellent in the air-fryer at 350 for around 30 minutes. You will love them! I am a plain ketchup kind of gal for my fries, but am always exploring other options. How do YOU dip your fries?

method:
  1. Pre-heat oven to 375. Wash and scrub potatoes under water and then set aside.

  2. Cut into evenly semi-thin strips and place into collander. Rinse again.

  3. Line baking tray with parchment paper. Spread potato wedges onto tray. Coat with seasoning. Flip, coat again and then place in the oven.

  4. Bake for 40-45 minutes flipping halfway thru if desired. Alternatively, you can set these in your air-fryer at 350 for about 30 minutes.
