seasoning blend
If it's one thing that I have had added to my pantry, it's herbs and spices. Since going vegan, and more importantly plant-based, it's become a priority to season foods with herbs and spices. It's an on-going process for me in learning which blend well together and which bring out the flavors and enhance certain foods. I have come up with a simple blend that I continuously use to add to my weekly batch of soup and my indulgence of oven baked fries. It certainly is a way to get in the added nutritional benefits while flavoring your dishes. Turmeric alone is a wonderful anti-inflammatory ingredient. And the combination brings the perfect blend to add to your oven-baked fries and soups.
ingredients:

1/2 tsp cumin

1 tbsp garlic powder

1 tbsp onion powder

1 tbsp dried oregano
-
1 tbsp smoked paprika

1 tsp turmeric
method:
Combine all of the ingredients together into a shaker bottle for easy access and convenience. I used a funnel for ease, and I also used a mortar and pestle for the oregano, but that is completely up to you. Double or even triple the recipe to fill your shaker.
